Phnom Penh: There are just over 90 days left before the Secondary School Certificate Examination will begin. As of this May, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has begun meetings to prepare for the Secondary School Certificate Examination for the exam period: August 18, 2025 under the slogan "Those who know will pass."
The 2024-2025 Secondary School Certificate Examination has been rescheduled for August, while the 2023-2024 academic year is scheduled for October. As of now, there are only 3 months left for Grade 12 candidates to prepare for the upcoming exam.
In fact, on May 9, Mr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, led a meeting on preparing for the 2025 Secondary School Certificate Examination. The meeting discussed examination principles and procedures, the production of candidate lists and individual certificates, the determination of examination centers and locations for completing the exam, the preparation, production and management of exam subjects, etc.
At the same time, to promote work efficiency and ensure a smooth, accurate, fair and transparent examination process in accordance with the principle of "those who know are successful", the Minister of Education instructed the working group to strengthen mechanisms and facilitate the addition of candidates to the examination and to always be prepared to avoid flooding during the rainy season due to the upcoming floods.
In addition, the mechanism for monitoring the revision stage, including the distribution of worksheets, cutting the worksheet headers and the revision time, must be clearly defined, with the subject group leader providing detailed instructions on the process. Mr. Hang Chuon Naron also urged the specialized departments to have a clear list of tasks and divide the flow of activities for the process of adding up the scores.
Please note that in the press conference of the 2024 Secondary School Certificate Examination, Deputy Prime Minister Hang Chuon Naron said that the Secondary School Certificate Examination in the coming years will be organized in August. According to the Minister, the organization in August is to provide convenience to students applying for scholarships abroad, especially not facing flooding of examination centers.
